How Do I Homeschool?

That’s the big question everyone faces once they make the decision to take the plunge. Whether you’re fed up with the public school and pulling your kids out, or just looking for a better education, this course is for you. It’s designed as an immersive experience so you can know what it’s like to homeschool right off the bat. You don’t need to know anything except how to follow simple instructions. We give you exactly what to do each day so you can see how simple and enjoyable homeschooling can be.

Can I Homeschool?

“Will I have what it takes?” “Am I qualified?” “Will I mess up my kids?” There are so many unknowns causing parents worry and concern about their ability to homeschool. We’ve been conditioned to believe that education can only happen in an institution with educators who carry degrees. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, we see a swath of students going through our educational systems today without even being able to read or do basic math. Mark Twain once quipped, “I have never let my schooling interfere with my education.” Most parents can educate their children and did so for hundreds of years before industrialized education even existed producing some of the most brilliant minds the world has ever seen. After taking this course you will know with 100% certainty whether you can homeschool or not. By the end of the course you will have homeschooled for 21 days and know with certainty whether you can homeschool or not.

Simple, straightforward, and effective

Ask any seasoned homeschooler and they will tell you the amount of time and mistakes they made along the way trying to figure things out. A certain amount of that is inevitable; the internet is inundated with resources for this or that. What looks appealing and sensible to a brand new homeschooler can often be nothing more than fluff with little to no substance. Unfortunately, it’s most likely not going to get you where you need to go.

Homeschooling is more than the curriculum or the scheduling tool you choose. It’s more than which reading program or math manipulative you need. It’s a comprehensive shift into a whole new way of doing school. When we created our 21 Days of Homeschooling Course, that’s exactly what we had in mind. We created the course we wished we would have had when we first started homeschooling. Not only do we point you to the best resources to help you save time and money, we also guide you through the paradigm shift that homeschooling inevitably is for those who are new to it. We help you get started on the right path from the beginning in a simple, straightforward and effective way. With over 20 years of homeschooling experience between us, Amy and I have the vision and perspective necessary to help you for the long-term.

What This Course Provides

  • Curriculum & Scheduling – We discuss curriculum and scheduling and provide various resources so you can gain confidence and make the right decision for your family’s needs.
  • Support & Encouragement – We provide teaching, practical support, and Q&A through a Facebook group.
  • Principles & Methods – We cover both principles – the guiding lines and grounding ideas necessary to help guide homeschooling decisions – and methods –  the practical tools that implement learning.
  • Rigor – We use methods that establish a high standard of rigor in a way that is simple, enjoyable, and accessible for both teacher and taught.
  • Character – We recognize that character and responsibility are central, not periphery, to a child’s education. The methods and we use incorporate character development as a significant goal of education.
  • Simple – We understand parents are limited on time and need tangible help to get started quickly without sacrificing what’s important. We’ve taken the complex and simplified it in a way that doesn’t compromise quality. This course is unique and one of a kind.
